A free workshop is being held for landowners in the northern area of the Grand River Watershed to learn more about environmental stewardship on their rural properties.

This workshop will be held at the Amaranth Township office at 374028 6th Line, Amaranth from 6:30-8:00 pm on Tuesday November 7, 2017.

Learn how to attract wildlife, improve fish habitat and grow a forest! This workshop will teach about healthy landscapes through tree planting for windbreaks and pollination corridors, water quality protection in surface and ground water and general habitat enhancement. Workshop participants will receive a Rural Landowner Stewardship Guide to help create an action plan for their properties. Landowners with properties greater than five acres may be eligible for funding for tree planting projects.

To register for the workshop, please email ruralwater@grandriver.ca or call Karen Buschert at 1-866-900-4722 x2262.
